O novo concurso público para a dragagem da Barrinha de Esmoriz foi lançado pela Sociedade Polis Ria de Aveiro, no passado dia 28 de Março, na sequência da interrupção dos trabalhos que se encontravam em curso.
“É com bom grado que perspectivamos que as novas obras de dragagem possam começar após a época balnear”, revelou Salvador Malheiro, presidente da Câmara Municipal de Ovar.
O novo projecto, que contempla a transposição de sedimentos para redução da erosão costeira, tem um valor base, para efeitos de concurso público, de 1,6 milhões de euros, e define um prazo de execução de 150 dias.
Desconhecem-se os motivos da rescisão do contrato, mas sabe-se que o diferendo entre o empreiteiro e a Sociedade Polis, dona da obra, circunscreve-se à operação de dragagem da lagoa. A Polis não respondeu a um pedido de informações sobre o processo enviado por email pelo Diário de Aveiro.
